MITB | Alberto Del Rio | The Nexus' Future | Jobbers

  • I'm a little confused over the whole WWE Money in the Bank situation. Now that it's a PPV will the match no longer be used at Wrestlemania?

The original plan was to scrap the match at Wrestlemania in favor of the new pay-per-view although those plans changed because there wasn't a better way to get so many workers on the Wrestlemania card. Remember working the Wrestlemania card is a big deal because it's the largest show bonus of the year. I haven't heard what the plan is next year but original plans this year had it nixed before it was decided to have it again. Based on the pay-per-view, with only two Money in the Bank ladder matches, I would be in favor of leaving it on the Wrestlemania card.

  • When will Alberto Del Rio make his TV in ring debut?

Very soon; it could happen as soon as tonight's Smackdown taping in Laredo, Texas. Alberto Del Rio (Dos Caras Jr.) has been on the road for months working with producers and preparing for his in-ring debut with WWE. He has skipped the majority of the developmental process and received a good build upon coming in, it will be interesting to see if he can live up to the hype with his in-ring skills. No matter how many dark matches or house shows he works, nothing is like competing in matches taped for TV.

  • Will The Nexus still be a stable or will they split after their 7-on-7 match at SummerSlam?

The match seems like the blow-off match to the faction, but as with anything, we'll see how it goes. WWE has stuck with The Nexus faction throughout the summer because of the increase in Raw's ratings but all gimmicks have a life. WWE needs to be careful how they book the 7-on-7 match because if Team Cena wins clean, The Nexus will be nothing more than the second version of The Spirit Squad and all their dominance on the Raw roster will have been wasted.

  • Will superstars such as William Regal, Chavo Guerrero or even Goldust get one last push?

Anything is possible but I do not see future pushes for William Regal, Chavo Guerrero and Goldust. All three have jobs because they are veterans that can help the younger workers in WWE. They fill in when they are needed and have background roles.
