Artist Bizzy Crook samples Demi Lovato’s “Camp Rock” song “This Is Me” in his new track by the same name. Bizzy spoke with MTV about the reason he decided to use Demi’s chorus in the song, stating:
When I was a kid I left the city where I grew up at, and I moved and it was hard for me to adjust. I didn’t have too many friends; I hung around by myself…then I watched the movie and that song really related to me. A lot of people are really surprised to see someone like Demi Lovato on that specific song. A lot of people when they listened to it they’re like, ‘Wow, it’s still a really good song,’ even if it’s not something they would normally listen to. As funny as it sounds, I actually watch a lot of the Disney movies. ‘Camp Rock’ was probably one of my favorite movies. I actually really, really, really like that song, so I just called my in-house producer one day…it sounded like something completely different.
