Having been on an international tour, Miley Cyrus has remained relatively quiet all summer, mostly letting a new tattoo do the talking for her.

But the singer speaks out in the September issue of Prestige and doesn't hold back with a statement on the cover: I'm not a bad girl, she claims, while sporting a new haircut and nary a bra:

Cyrus also touches on her career, saying of the film So Undercover: “I’ve got kind of a weird, dark sense of humor, really dry humor, so I would love to do more comedies. But not the comedies that people have seen me in. There’s a comedy that I’m working on now and it’s something a little darker.”

It was announced today that Taylor Swift, one of the most beloved pop stars of her generation, has been nominated for five Country Music Awards. Among them? Entertainer of the Year!

Swift will go up against five men in that category - Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton and Keith Urban - while she's also among the nominees for Female Vocalist of the Year along with Sara Evans, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood and Martina McBride.

She's grinded on a stripper pole in front of millions; she's been caught smoking out of a bong; heck, she poses without a bra on the cover of this month's Prestige.


Still, Miley Cyrus doesn't understand why her image has taken a hit. In an interview with the aforementioned publication, the 18-year old says:


"There was this magazine article the other day, showing all the younger celebrities. I was the Girl Next Door or whatever, and I fell under the category of Good Girl Gone Bad. And I was like, 'What the hell, man?'"

Moreover, Miley blames the media for making her out to be someone she isn't: "The press seems to think that I'm trying to make this big turn and become a bad girl, and really I'm trying to be more connected with the Earth."

Hmmmm.... and how exactly is THIS PHOTO, taken from the exact article from which we just quoted, connecting Cyrus to the Earth? She is standing outside, we suppose.

Miley adds:

"I'm not some crazy lady who's gone off the deep end... I just always try to be real. Every 18-year-old explores sexuality and experiments and tries things. For me there's no reason to change that. You have to be true to yourself."

ABC has purchased a one-hour drama TV show based on the “Beauty and the Beast” fairy tale. The show will maintain the “Beauty and the Beast” title, but it will reportedly be a re-imagining of the classic fairy tale.

“The Count Of Monte Cristo” Available On Blu-ray September 13, 2011:

Thanks to Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment the timeless movie “The Count Of Monte Cristo” is available today on Blu-ray for the first time. The movie is about a character named Edmond Dantes who is betrayed by his best friend Fernand Mondego when Fernand realizes that Edmond will be able to marry Mercedès Iguanada, the woman of both of their dreams, sooner than Fernand had originally expected. Realizing he has to act fast Fernand winds up getting Edmond locked away in prison.

Edmond harbors so much resentment toward his former friend that all he can do is consume himself with getting out and extracting revenge. In a daring escape Edmond frees himself from jail and finds himself in a situation that gives him great wealth. Edmond learns that Fernand has stolen the life he had been planning to lead, marrying Mercedès, so he finds a way to bring them both to his new home and begins his plan for revenge.

We don’t want to give away the ending of the movie, but we do urge you to watch it! It’s an intense drama that really makes you urge the main character along every step of his journey and keeps you on the edge of your seat hoping he is able to regain the life he lost because of his friend turned enemy.

Everett finds out through a note from his wife played by Holly Hunter that she is planning to marry someone else. Everett needs to escape from jail so he concocts a plan to get both Pete and Delmar to agree to leave prison early – even though their sentences are almost up! Everett explains to his two prison mates that he knows where there is a lot of money that they need to collect soon before the land its on is flooded!

We can’t even begin to explain the hilarity that ensues when the three men escape from prison! This is the type of role we LOVE to see George Clooney in and John Turturro and Tim Blake Nelson are the perfect accomplices throughout the journey! John Goodman also lends a hysterical hand to the film as the character Big Dan Teague and of course Holly Hunter is spot on with her super funny character Penny, who is planning a wedding with the overly obnoxious character Vernon T. Waldrip played by Ray McKinnon.

“O Brother Where Art Thou?” is loosely based on Homers “Odyssey.” The movie has as phenomenal soundtrack that we highly recommend picking up in addition to the Blu-ray.

Hilary Duff and her husband Mike Comrie will be welcoming their first child into the world next year, and in order to stay fit Hilary has taken up pilates. The former Disney star was seen exiting a pilates studio in Los Angeles, California on September 14th.

It’s a good thing Hilary doesn’t seem to mind the paparazzi following her around – they have been taking pictures of her everywhere lately!

Congratulations to Hilary and Mike again on their pregnancy!
