“O Brother, Where Art Thou?” Available On Blu-ray September 13, 2011

“O Brother, Where Art Thou?” Available On Blu-ray September 13, 2011:

Well now, this is one of the greatest days of our life! Why you ask? Well, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has released one of our favorite movies “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” to Blu-ray! Here’s a list of actors in the film:

- George Clooney as Everett

- John Turturro as Pete

- Tim Blake Nelson as Delmar

- John Goodman as Big Dan Teague

- Holly Hunter as Penny

- Chris Thomas King as Tommy Johnson

- Charles Durning as Pappy O’Daniel

- Del Pentecost as Junior O’Daniel

- Michael Badalucco as George Nelson

- J.R. Horne as Pappy’s Staff

- Brian Reddy as Pappy’s Staff

- Wayne Duvall as Homer Stokes

- Ed Gale as The Little Man

- Ray McKinnon as Vernon T. Waldrip

- Daniel von Bargen as Sheriff Cooley

So George Clooney’s character Everett is in jail and he’s shackled to two hilarious characters John Turturro as Pete and Tim Blake Nelson as Delmar. Everett finds out through a note from his wife played by Holly Hunter that she is planning to marry someone else. Everett needs to escape from jail so he concocts a plan to get both Pete and Delmar to agree to leave prison early – even though their sentences are almost up! Everett explains to his two prison mates that he knows where there is a lot of money that they need to collect soon before the land its on is flooded!

We can’t even begin to explain the hilarity that ensues when the three men escape from prison! This is the type of role we LOVE to see George Clooney in and John Turturro and Tim Blake Nelson are the perfect accomplices throughout the journey! John Goodman also lends a hysterical hand to the film as the character Big Dan Teague and of course Holly Hunter is spot on with her super funny character Penny, who is planning a wedding with the overly obnoxious character Vernon T. Waldrip played by Ray McKinnon.

“O Brother Where Art Thou?” is loosely based on Homers “Odyssey.” The movie has as phenomenal soundtrack that we highly recommend picking up in addition to the Blu-ray.

Here is a list of Bonus Features on the Blu-ray:

- Exclusive Behind The Scenes Featurette

- Two Storyboard to Scene Comparison

- “I Am A Man Of Constant Sorrow” Music Video

- Theatrical Trailer

Watching “O Brother Where Art Thou?” on Blu-ray is definitely worth it! Let us know if you pick up this movie!
