They are changing the ring apron from WWE Superstars and are putting a briefcase above the ring.

A video aired with Kane over a coffin. He said he would decapitate CM Punk tonight. They replayed footage from last week with Kane vs. Punk, and announced Kane vs. Luke Gallows for later in the show.

Jack Swagger came to the ring for a promo. He looked pissed. Big Show interrupted with a mic on the stage. He was limping, apparently selling the effects of Swagger's ankle lock from last week. Big Show headed to the ring and said he was going to break Swagger's jaw.

Cody Rhodes jumped Big Show and a two-on-one beatdown took place. World Hvt. Champion Rey Mysterio came out and helped clear the ring.

It was announced that Kane, Matt Hardy, Cody Rhodes, Christian Cage , Kofi Kingston, and Big Show will compete in the Smackdown version of the Money in the Bank match at the July pay-per-view.

Jack Swagger came out again and invoked his rematch clause. Teddy Long said it would be Mysterio vs. Swagger in a cage match tonight. It appears this will be the dark match main event since they are now advertising Swagger and Cody vs. Show and Mysterio for the television show.

  • Kofi Kingston def. Dolph Ziggler.
Ziggler came out and was arguing with Vickie Guerrero. Kofi win after a kick to the head in about five minutes. Ziggler and Vickie bickered throughout the match. Vickie was pissed that he lost and left to good heat.

CM Punk was shown with his arm in a sling as the crew set up for The Peep Show, which included ladders being set up in the ring.

Christian came out in street clothes for The Peep Show. Matt Hardy came out next and got the biggest pop of the night thus far. I don't know where the criticism comes from, but Hardy is way over.

Hardy is reinstated and it was mentioned that Drew is out because of visa issues. They argued over who will win the MITB match, but agree they both deserve it. Hardy got the best of Christian and threw him into the ladders.

There was a video with a promo by soldiers in Iraq. They set up pyro around the ring, so apparently Kane is next.

Alberto Del Rio was featured in a vignette on the Titan Tron.

Cody Rhodes was looking in a mirror telling himself he's dashing. He said his motivation for attacking Big Show earlier was the Money in the Bank match.

  • Kane beat Luke Gallows (w/C.M. Punk) by DQ.

Punk was wearing a sling. The DQ occurred when the masked Straight Edge Society member ran in. Kane chokeslammed the masked man and Gallows.

Kane grabbed Punk, but Serena came out with a mic in hand and a video played of her doing shots with some guy in a bar. Punk walked into the bar and scattered the drinks. He gave her a hard time for drinking. This was security video that featured a time and date. Kane left and Serena begged for forgiveness. The Straight Edge Society left her behind.

  • MVP def. Chavo Guerrero.
Chavo took the mic before the match and said he deserves an Intercontinental Title show if he wins the match. MVP won with some kind of twisting face buster.

A promo was shown for Ricky Steamboat's DVD. Matt Striker was on the mic taking video footage of the crowd and their signs.

A "This Week in History" feature focussed on Yokozuna and Lex Luger and the bodyslam contest, plus the SummerSlam 93 match...

  •  Kelly Kelly (w/Tiffany) def Michelle McCool (w/Layla).

Kelly Kelly came out with another Diva (assuming it was Tiffany). LayCool came out and attacked Kelly, then sprayed perfume around. Kaval was not with them tonight. Kelly won the match with a roll up. The crowd was flat for this one.

There was another Iraq video, and a second Albert Del Rio vignette.

Rey Mysterio came out and cut a promo in the ring about winning the World Hvt. Championship at the Fatal Four Way pay-per-view. It will be Rey vs. Swagger at the pay-per-view.

A Nexus video highlight package was shown.

  • Rey Mysterio and Big Show def. Jack Swagger and "Dashing" Cody Rhodes in DQ.
Swagger refused to release the ankle lock when Rey was in the ropes. Rey got his pant leg torn pretty good.

They are already setting up for NXT. I saw a keg out there. Not as many boos for Michael Cole as one might expect.

Likely Dark Match

Teddy Long came out and said he received an email from the anonymous general manager and both agreed to have a U.S. Title match. Miz came out and got great heat for mispronouncing Wilkes-Barre as he noted that he won the title the last time they were there. John Morrison cut a promo and referred to Miz as "hefty."

  • The Miz beat John Morrison to retain the U.S. Title.

Miz attacked Morrison at ringside and threw him into the crowd. Miz played to the crowd while Morrison struggled to get back inside the ring. Matt Striker ran to the back for unknown reasons. Miz put Morrison in a Texas Cloverleaf, but he got to the ropes.

Morrison missed Starship Pain. Miz came back with the Skull Crushing Finale and scored the pin to win the match. After the match, the referees changed the ring ropes to yellow for NXT.

Bryan Danielson Talks about His WWE Release

Multiple Wrestling News World readers sent word that Daniel Bryan has finally broke his silence and released a statement regarding his release from WWE on his official website . It reads the following:

“WWE has come to terms on the release of NXT first season rookie Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson) as of today June 11, 2010. We wish Daniel Bryan the best in all future endeavors.”

Posted by WWE.com

Since this statement was released I’ve been bombarded with messages asking me if it’s real, and by now I’m sure that most people know that it is.

WWE is very serious about adhering to their PG guidelines, and apparently my actions during the NXT attack on John Cena, namely choking announcer Justin Roberts with his tie and spitting in Cena’s face, crossed the boundaries of what is considered “PG.” Perhaps the choking was too violent or perhaps the spit was too demeaning. I apologized for both immediately following the incident; but I would be a hypocrite if I apologized for putting everything I have into the attack. I would much rather have gone too far than to come up too short.

As with anyone who gets fired from their job, especially when they feel its unjust, I am angry. Very angry. But I can’t fault WWE for how they handled my release. My contract contained a 90 day no-compete clause in the event I was let go, yet the WWE has graciously allowed me start wrestling again on any show that’s not taped for television or pay per view.

So with the negatives there also come positives. Before I got signed by WWE last October, I worked hard to bring new fans to independent wrestling. But with most of us having little national exposure the only thing we could do was wrestle our hearts out and hope for word of mouth. Now that I’ve appeared on WWE television in front of millions of new fans, things are different. My goal is to garner as much interest in independent wrestling over the next 90 days as I possibly can. I hope that some of the people who enjoyed watching me wrestle on TV will give independent companies such as Evolve, Dragon Gate USA and Ring of Honor a chance. I think most of you would enjoy the intimacy between the fans and the wrestlers and the intensity of the action; if you ask the fans who went to the Chikara or AIW shows I was on this weekend, I’m sure 99% of them had a great time. So if you’ve never been to an independent show, go ahead and dip your toes in... you might find that the water is pretty nice.

As far as what happens after 90 days, nobody knows. I’ve “heard” that TNA is interested. There are petitions going around to get me back into WWE and the last several weeks there have been fans chanting my names at their shows. People have even brought signs showing their support. And though most of the signs get taken away and though WWE may not be listening to your chants or petitions, I truly appreciate all the support over the last several weeks. It is both overwhelming and heartwarming. But regardless of what offers come in, I am in no rush to make any rash decisions. I enjoy my freedom as much as I enjoyed the benefits offered by being in WWE. My future, as usual, is uncertain. But I am enjoying my return to the independents. I’m hoping to see some of you there.
